Managing overwhelming emotions can be difficult, and at times, medication may be an essential part of the healing journey. Therapy and medication can work hand-in-hand to help alleviate distress. Inspiring Change fully supports a person's decision to engage in the best-suited treatment for themselves, which could include therapy, medication, or both.

Inspiring Change provides neuropsychological assessments for clinical and psychological purposes, but not for legal, criminal, forensic, or custody matters. Our professionals can assess individuals aged 8 and older for a variety of concerns, including memory and cognition issues, ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, IQ evaluation, and personality assessments or diagnostic clarifications. Some of these services may be covered by insurance.
Psychological evaluations and referrals for Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services (BHRS), are available on a limited basis. Evaluations for gender affirming medical and surgical interventions, bariatric surgery, and other surgical/medical procedures are available.
The evaluation process includes:
The first appointment is a clinical interview to determine appropriateness for testing and to identify the testing battery based on presenting needs. This can be done virtually or in person.
The second appointment is for the testing which can take between 2-4 hours.
Patients may take breaks and bring snack.
Most measures/subtests are 1-10 minutes long. Testing is comprised of many short tests.
Many tasks are unlike anything people have typically done before.
All questions are paper and pencil, or verbal questions. No invasive medical testing.
The third appointment is optional and is the feedback session to review results.

Facilitated Support Group
A facilitated support group offers a structured, confidential space where people with similar challenges or life circumstances can connect, share experiences, and receive mutual support. Led by a trained facilitator, the group provides a framework for discussion, ensures a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere, and introduces relevant psychoeducational content or coping strategies. People can gain valuable insight from peers, reduce feelings of isolation, and develop stronger resilience and problem-solving skills which can complement individual therapy or other treatments. Some group topics that are available include neurodivergent support groups and finding your voice/assertiveness groups.
Traditional Support Group
Inspiring Change currently offers a Queer and Allies support group, called Crochet & Color. This is a group that allows you to join a group of your peers for a relaxing evening, either to bring your own crochet project or start a new one. If crocheting is not of interest, you can come and color! Check out our facebook for more information.
