After a 40+ year career in Emergency Medicine, 35 of which was spent in the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital Emergency Department, I have transitioned to Addiction Medicine. As the Medical Director of the Armstrong County Jail, the need for Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT) for Opiate Addiction became obvious 10 years ago, and we were one of the first County Jails in Pennsylvania to start an MAT program.

I began practicing Addiction Medicine in the Medical Withdrawal Unit at ACMH in 2018, and after semi-retiring from Emergency Medicine, began an outpatient Addiction Medicine Practice at ARC Manor in Kittanning in 2023. In 2025 I passed the exam to become Board Certified in Addiction Medicine. I am now part of the team at Inspiring Change offering comprehensive Mental Health and Addiction Treatment.
